Congratulations Chef Linton Hopkins!

I just learned that Chef Linton Hopkins of Restaurant Eugene and Holeman & Finch Public House in Atlanta was just named one best new chefs in America by Food and Wine.

Readers of my blog could have guessed that might happen after they watched the video that Chef Hopkins and Mixologist Greg Best collaborated with us to create last year when Holeman & Finch opened.  Their dedication to outstanding food and ingredients is apparent for all to see.

I thought you might like to view the video again.

And while we are on the topic of food, we have another widget to share. This widget is a compilation of recipes that use Company products. I hope that you will enjoy it and begin assembling your own culinary masterpieces to rival those of Chef Hopkins.

Calendar Widget

I told you in January when I posted our first widget that more were coming.  Here is a great calendar that you can add to your desktop.  The calendar will feature a new images from our collection each day.  I hope you enjoy.

For those of you unfamiliar with the term, a widget is a mini-web application that you can download and use on your personal applications. You can put widgets on your own website, your MySpace profile or even your own blog. To download, simply click the Share button below the clock. The menu that shows up will provide you with all the options you need. You can also click the All option for dozens more destinations.

Students Restore Wall Sign

I recently ran across this article about about some students at Lincoln County High School in Lincolnton, Georgia, who performed research, found matching paint colors, and are restoring an old Coca-Cola wall sign from the 1930s as a school project under direction from their art teacher.

News Article on Students Restoring Sign

It is exciting to see the students rediscover a form of advertising that Coke introduced in 1984 in Gainesville, Georgia that has virtually disappeared today.

I will continue to monitor their progress and hope to update you when the sign is completed.
